End of the line
End of the Line” is a project that I have wanted to shoot since 2013, when I first visited Moscow. The idea of roaming around the outskirts of the city by myself, in winter with a medium format camera and rolls of CineStill 800 both scared and excited me.
When in Moscow I live in the centre - "inside the red ring" as they say. So I wanted to travel to the end of every metro line and document the environment. This project was about exploration and venturing out of my comfort zone. But more than that, I wanted to walk in somebody else's shoes.
I would jump on the metro an hour before dark and travel to the end of a chosen line. Once there, I would walk over 10km around the metro station in temperatures that got down to -20c (-4F)
